Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team - Ashburton is a charity based in the south-west that does lots of amazing work saving lives. It specialises in conducting search and rescue on Dartmoor, as well as across the south and east of Devon.

As with any charity, fundraising is incredibly important. The Dartmoor Rescue Group (DRG), of which DSRT is a part, is a registered charity and does not get any income from the government. Lots of people think the police or coastguard get involved if someone goes missing - but all too often it’s up to a voluntary organisation like this to do the work.

This year they’ll be using a printed pop up gazebo for fundraising events across the region and this one will be easy to spot thats for sure.

Fundraising events take many forms - it can be anything from shaking a can in the street to manning a stall at a local fete. But the point is to get out there so people know you are there!
